Nestled deep in the Rocky Mountains, Vista Verde is a truly unique ranch experience for all seasons. The 500 acre property offers accommodations in secluded, spacious cabins and deluxe lodge rooms. Each cabin has a private hot tub on the deck to relax in while enjoying the panorama of the National forest. Enjoy gourmet meals served in the main lodge, or on the sundeck. Take part in a wine tasting and cooking class. Winter activities include cross country skiing on 30 km of pristine groomed trails, instruction in skate, classic and telemark techniques, guided backcountry ski tours and showshoeing, horseback riding, sleigh rides and more. Adult only times are set aside for singles and couples and family times are for those with children 6 years and up.
The gourmet food is a fabulous treat after being outside all day!

Must Do: An all-day backcountry ski, followed by a wine tasting with Chef Robert, then soak in your hot tub under the stars!
Terrain: 30km - some singletrack for classic, mostly double track and skating. A separate snowshoe trail overlooks ranch property. Mostly open meadows mixed in with aspen and lodgepole pine groves. Gentle terrain dominates but there are a few trails that are quite hilly.
Facilities & Amenities: Day skiers check in at the Nordic Center. Light lunch is available and included with the trail pass. A more hearty, gourmet Ranch lunch is available at the Main Lodge for an additional charge. Since we are limited in the number of day skiers we can accommodate each day, reservations are always required. Rentals and Lessons are available and special events and clinics are scheduled throughtout the season.

Services: Our in-house guests can choose from backcountry tours, telemark, classic or skate lessons, snowshoe tours, horseback riding, sleigh rides and more. A full kids program with lots of outdoor activities operates during Christmas and New Years, President's Week and most of March. Our diverse winter program makes it a great place for expert skiers and novices alike. You can ski all day or take a day off and still have plenty to do.
Food Service: We serve 3 bountiful meals a day in our dining room for our in-house guests. The chefs also offer a wine tasting and cooking class usually once a week.
