One of the most exciting times of the year is watching as the nordic centers open trails for an exciting new season!! Keep checking back as we update our trail conditions page with snow conditions and trail openings!

Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center	Open	32 km	1/29/10	The Nordic Sports Center and McCoy park are open with 32 km of groomed trails for crosscountry, skate and snowshoe. We also have snowshoe trails at the base of the Mountain House for those not wishing to take the chair lift up to McCoy park. Breckenridge Nordic Center	Open	26Km	2/06/10	Lightly snowing for a couple of days, continuing today, mid 30's mid days. Working to open sections of the Beaver Meadows Trail and the Colorado. 26Km daily groomed Skate lanes and double set Classic tracks. 20Km Snow Wonder Snowshoe trails are open for guided tours by day and night or self-guided hikes. Crested Butte	Open	45 km	2/4/10	At 7:45 am this morning it was 18F with light snow. We received a trace of snow overnight. The Bench was groomed yesterday. Westside, Eastside trails and Town Ranch will be groomed today. Middle Earth is now groomed and ready to ski!
Devil's Thumb Ranch	Open	100 + km	2/4/10	We are open with 100 plus km of wonderfully groomed trails for skate and classic skiing. We received fresh snow last night and currently groomers are out on the trails. High daytime temperatures have thinned some trails a bit in some spots, so please be careful. All trails are open for skiing, including our dog trails. Please call 970.726.7010 for updates.
Eldora Nordic Center	Open	40 km	2/4/10	We have had 2 inches snow in the past 24 hours and 2.5 inches in the past 72 hours. Today we have light snow and 22 F. Winds are between 5 to 10 mph. Groomed and open trails include: Dixie, 17th Avenue, Phoebe, Meadows, the Stadium, Willows,Buckeye Basin, Bogwaun, Milliron, Beavers Revenge, Cheaters Corner, Twin Twisted Tree, For Pete's Sake, Ja Sure, Annie B, Roller Coaster, Sawmill, Gandy Dancer and Petersen's Return, Woodcutters, Deadman's Gulch, Zarlengo Loop and Porcupine loop. Please call the nordic center for the most updated grooming.
Frisco Nordic Center	Open	42Km	2/06/10	5 inches new snow this week, still snowing today, high 30's mid-day. 42Km of new PB100 Snowcat groomed Skate lanes with set tracks for Classic skiing. Everything except the Black Diamond Balfonz and 1 Km on Buzzsaw's return to Center are open. 40th Anniversary - Frisco Gold Rush events Sun, Feb 7th all day. Keystone Nordic	Open	15 km	2/4/10	Our trails are groomed for classic and skate skiing. Our snowshoe trails and tubing hill are also open. We have been receiving a bit of new snow...enought to keep us going!
Latigo Ranch	Open	40Km	1/26/10	We have more new snow, 80% is open. 40Km OPEN now! The snow is still very thin in some places. Snow Mountain Ranch	Open	80+ km	2/8/10	It's currently snowing and should continue through the day today. We have an inch of new snow so far and possibility for 3-4 inches accumulating. Both classic and skate skiing should be excellent again today! New tracks were set on most trails yesterday with the machine, including Blue Ridge Rd to the loop, Eagle Valley and the Youngs. Skate lanes are being groomed this morning on all of the lower trails. Please remeber to pick up your daily trail pass at the Nordic Center (even if you're a season pass holder).
Steamboat Touring Center	Open	15km	2/4/10	This morning it was 11 F and clear. We have 100% of our trails open and groomed today for Classic and Skate skiing. All snowshoe trails are open. With the middle and high school ski race today, there will be no public skiing until 2pm. Thank you for your understanding and come on out and support these junior racers!
Tennessee Pass	Open	25 km	1/29/10	We are 100% open and in full swing! The skiing is great and we are grooming 6 to 7 days per week.
Vail Nordic Center	Open	17 km	2/2/2010	We have 100% of our trails groomed for classic and skate skiing. The temperatures have been warm and beautiful- trails are in great condition. Our retail shop is open 9-5, 7 days a week. We are offering beginner skate and classic lessons and private lessons. For more information call (970)476-8366 Happy Valley Grill, located inside the nordic center, is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for lunch.
Vail Resorts Nordic Ski School	Open	25 km	1/29/10	We are busy with fabulous backcountry tours. Recent snowfall has made our backcountry excursions absolutely wonderful.
Vista Verde Ranch	Open	25 km	1/22/10	We are now open for the season with very nice skiing! Please call for updates and more information.
