Conditions for Great Skiing at Lily Lake

Status: open Open KM: 10 KM More Detailed Report

While our in-town trails aren't open yet, we have 10 kilometers of trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing just outside of town. The Lily Lake Plateau, near Kebler Pass and Lake Irwin, gets a significant amount of early season snowfall every year. Right now Lily Lake has a 3 foot base and the skiing is top-notch. The trails include a 1 km beginner's loop at the base of the plateau, and then 9 kilometers of trails that climb up to and circle around the plateau. It's beautiful winter up there, so come and enjoy! These trails are free tothe public, but information is available at the Crested Butte Nordic Center at 2nd and Whiterock in the town of Crested Butte.
