Snowmaking 24 hours a day at this time of the year to aid in an early opening Dec 12th, snow pending with a total of 45 kilometers groomed. The trail system is located in the Town of Frisco at the Peninsula Recreation Area, 1/2 mile past the "Main Street of the Rockies" on the peninsula of Lake Dillon in Frisco, Colorado. Trails traverse the shores of the lake with magnificent vista on all sides.  Along the Free Summit Stage Bus with stops just blocks away from the entrance to this special town park, USDA, Forest Service permit area and plenty of free parking lots. Beginning (easiest) to Double Black Diamond (advanced) trails with every thing Intermediate and rolling trails are groomed for skiing.  Snowshoe trails are self-guided, mapped and marked, or take a Snowshoe Tour or Guided Ski Tour by Advanced Reservation. Spectacular scenery of Buffalo Mountain and the Continental Divide. Trails traverse town lands and are in the White River National Forest. This is a Front Range and Local's favorite get-away vacation spot for the most excellent grooming with our all new PB100, wooded, winding and kettle terrain topography, and customer friendly service.  We are a family operation providing full Nordic services to our guests.  Other noteworthy features include: a Piston Bully 100 and Bombardier 180 groomed trail system, 100% guaranteed lessons or your full refund, advanced clinics by Guest Instructors monthly, and Home of the famous 40th Anniversary Frisco Gold Rush and Frisco Cup Challenge Training Series on some Sunday's during the season at 11 am.

Must Do: Ski the Frisco Bay Trail and stop for a picnic or photo opportunity along the edge of Lake Dillon. If your up for a really big challenge you will surely appreciate the views from edge of the Jody's Nugget Trail down Rush Hill to the new Olympian's Link to the shores of the lake along the RJ's Vista trail.  A summertime boating heaven. 

Terrain: 45km for skating and classic set tracks. All ability levels ski trails, 16km for all ability level trails for snowshoeing on single track scenic nature trails.  Lessons daily by reservation (private/group), self-guided snowshoeing, back-country ski trailheads nearby, ice skating in Frisco, kid's gear.

Directions: Take I-70 to Exit 203 Frisco/Breckenridge, travel through 6 stoplights on Colorado Hwy 9 (Summit Blvd). Look left just past the 6th light at Water Dance Development, and get ready to turn left into the turn lane at the log entry feature to the Peninsula Recreation Area, see Frisco Nordic Center and Two Below Zero Sleigh Rides sign.  Make you way past the 1st parking area for the sledding hills, then past the gatehouse with ticket sales, Look left at Log Nordic Center building, continue on for more parking option and Skier Drop Off Areas at trailheads to skiing.
