Keystone Resort is a four season resort with three mountains to ski, night skiing, downhill ski and ride ski school, Nordic center, ice skating, sleigh rides, award winning restaurants, two gondolas, free programs for in-house guests (each guest gets Adventure Passport with variety of free activities. We at Keystone support the idea of active participation in our “paradise” and we make it easy and fun to do! Keystone is where the nature and adventure merges.

We help people to be active and have an energetic and dynamite vacation. We offer daily snowshoe tours, Cross Country ski lessons, Ski Skating or Telemark skiing, “Personal Trainer” session in 1 on 1 environment, and lessons for children.



Must Do:
The Peak-to-Peak Trek on snowshoes.  Unforgettable experience! The guided tour starts with a gondola ride to the top of Dercum Mountain. From there the group continues circling Bergman's Bowl heading to the North Peak Outpost. The return trip uses both gondolas to descend from the mountain.

Thursdays only or any day with a minimum of three people.

24 hour advanced reservation required.

Nordic Center Terrain:  16 km right from our front door on the golf course. 

45 km of well-marked backcountry trails (requires driving 3-5 miles) These are old mining roads leading to deserted mining shafts. A lot of these trails are just above the Continental divide: Peru Creek, Webster Pass, Deer Creek and Sts. John trails are the most popular – from 3-10 miles of skiing - round trip. Variety of levels. For more information and directions please stop at the Nordic center.

Facilities & Amenities: The Keystone Nordic Center is located on River Golf course. The main facilities are in the clubhouse. We are open every day of the season 9 AM – 4:30 PM.  We offer: Rental shop (touring skis, skating skis, snowshoes, inner tubes, telemark equipment), restaurant, information on ski and snowshoe trails, small tubing hill (no personal sleds or tubes allowed to assure safety of children), ski school with group or private lessons, restrooms and resting /waiting area.

Other Services: In the Keystone village: The largest outdoor ice skating ring, sleigh rides to cabins for dinner, special free programs for children, yoga classes,  new spa facilities, fitness center, scenic wagon ride, kids-night-out, hockey clinics, tubing hill, wine tasting are among the most popular activities. Many of these are offered to Keystone in-house guests free (with the Adventure Passport

Food Service: Starting December 20, 2007, we offer daily 2-3 soups in our soup bar. Freshly baked bread compliments this hearty and healthy skier’s lunch.

Special Events:
Full Moon Tours: December12, 2007, January 19, February 22
and March 21, 2008. These memorable tours include a snowshoe tour portion and after the “caloric output” we will have the “caloric intake” – light supper consisting of soup, bread and dessert. $35 per person


Ski Moms and other Mountain Women: January 6, 20, and 27, 2007. A series of three Saturday afternoons for women taught by women. All abilities welcome, including never ever skiers! Classic and Skate skiing technique instruction and coaching offered.

Keystone Kids Cross Country Ski Program:
Session 1:November 30, December 7 and 14,2007.
Session 2: January 11, 18, and 25, 2008.
A community based program for kids ages 4 to 12.  Cross country skiing is introduced and developed in a fun filled environment.

Nordic Skiing Workout: Gather for an informal group workout on cross country skating or classic skis.  Some basic skills on xc skis required. Every Monday after work at 4:30 pm. This is a 10 week program starting December10. No workout on December 24 or 31, 2007. Registration fee for entire 10 weeks is $20.

Our regularly scheduled snowshoe tours, backcountry experiences, skating, telemark, kids and adult cross country ski lessons: Ski lessons in Classic and Skate skiing for all levels from novice to advance; Telemark skiing lessons for all levels; private lessons; personal trainer; children’s mini lessons; snowshoe tours; skier’s soup bar; ski repair and maintenance shop.

Cross Country Lessons: offered daily at 10 am; introductory lessons for novice skiers.

Ski Skating Lessons: offered daily in the afternoon.  Advanced reservations required.

Personal Trainer: 1 on 1 coaching offered daily in the afternoon. Advanced reservations required.

Eco Tours on Snowshoes: offered at 10:30 am every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and at 1 pm every Friday.

Peak to Peak Snowshoe Tour: Thursdays only.  Advanced reservations required.

Polar Bear Children's Lesson: for ages 6 to 12.  Advanced reservations required.

Telemark Lessons:  Beginning group lessons offered every Tuesday and Friday.  Private lessons available.  Advanced reservations required for all.

Directions:

I – 70 WEST from st1:City>Denver

Keep going 60-70 miles WEST (depending if you go from Denver or the Airport) past Georgetown and through the Eisenhower Tunnel. (EISENHOWER TUNNEL is over 1 mile long and definitely cannot be missed.)

Exiting the tunnel take the FIRST exit (# 205) for DILLON, SILVERTHORNE

Turn LEFT (East) at the bottom of the Exit ramp onto US Hwy. 6 (Blue River Parkway).

Continue on Hwy. 6 approx. 6 miles to the stoplight at the intersection of Swan Mountain Rd.

Stay on Hwy 6 through the intersection. Now look for a sign “NORDIC SKI AREA 1/4 miles”. Take the FIRST RIGHT turn after the intersection. Entrance sign is River Course Golf and snowshoes with additional sign: Nordic Center.

Follow the road up and to the right to the Clubhouse.
