Over 30,000 skiers per year visit our property covering 5,100 acres of mountain meadows at 8,500 ft of altitude. We have 100 kilometers of trail system including 3 kilometers of lighted trail system for night skiing. Snow Mountain Ranch is usually one of the first Nordic Centers in the state open (late October) and one of the last to close (late April).

Must Do: Put on a pair of skis in the morning and just glide on our freshly groomed trails as you experience the sense of "ahhhssss…"
Terrain: Enjoy 100Km of groomed trail for classic and skate skiing. Our trail system accommodates everyone from first-time skier or snow-shoer to elite racer. Ski Blue ridge trail at 12 thousand feet of altitude or fun short loops around the Nordic Center. Even your canine companion can join you on some trails, making sure that you and your pup are getting a good workout.
Facilities & Amenities: The Nordic Center has full-service ski shop. This is the place where you will find great deals on lessons and ski and snowshoe rental packages. We also have the latest Nordic gear and apparel for sale. Tired of skiing? No problem, enjoy sleigh rides, Olympic size swimming pool with sauna, climbing wall or have fun in our Craft shop. To re-energize, visit the Skinny Ski Café. We have cozy cabins and lodge rooms for individuals, families and conference groups. Make memories at Snow Mountain Ranch!
Services: Enjoy sleigh rides, Ice Skating Rink, Olympic size swimming pool with sauna, climbing wall, roller skating ring in the Kiva recreational center or have fun in our Craft shop.
Food Service: To re-energize, visit the Skinny Ski Café or one of our many outdoor picnic places.
Classic and Skate lessons, snowshoe tours, kids, and locals: We offer guided snowshoe tours, and both classic and skate ski lessons for beginner, intermediate or advanced. We have a free Children’s ski program on Fridays and Sundays. Locals from Grand County ski free on Wednesdays.

Blue Ridge Summit Tour

Always wanted to ski to the summit of Blue Ridge? Want to finish the
winter season with a bang? Ski up Blue Ridge summiting at 10,670ft
with a round trip of 21.4km. Join other Nordic ski enthusiasts for SMR
Nordic Center's final event of the season. The event includes a sack
lunch and campfire at the summit.
When: Saturday, April 11th. Meet at the SMR Nordic Cneter at 9am start skiing at 9:30am
Cost: $15 includes: trail pass and sack lunch
$20 includes: trail pass, sack lunch and rentals
Kids 12 and under are Free ($5 if you need to rent)
