Cross-Country Skiing
Classic cross-country skiing is ideal for guests wanting an alternative mountain experience. Cross-country skiers with some experience can utilize Vail's special-use permit into the White River National Forest. We offer full-day and half-day tours as a private. Our privates accomadate up to six guests and advanced registration is recomanded.
Beginners can be introduced to the sport on groomed terrain with a lesson at the Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center (www.beavercreek.com) or call 970-754-5313.
Telemark
Telemark skiing, also known as free-heel skiing, combines the best of cross-country with downhill. No matter what your level, our expert telemark instructors can teach you how to fine-tune your technique, from learning the basics of telemark skiing to making every turn effortless. Privates are availible with advanced booking.
Snowshoeing
Designed for those wanting a wilderness adventure, our snowshoe tours will take you through the White River National Forest. Hear about the history of Eagle County as you spot wildlife and enjoy senic views. Tours are led by well-versed guides who outfit you with the latest equipment from top manufacturers. Our group tours leave Tuesday through Saturday 9:45 AM to 12:30 PM. Full-day and Half-day privates are also availible with advanced reservations. Our privates accomadate up to six guests.
