Great early snowfalls predict a November 16th opening with a total of 43Kms groomed. The trail system is located at the Peninsula Recreation Area 1/4 mile outside of the Town of Frisco. Trails traverse the Peninsula of Lake Dillon. Free town shuttle and Summit Stage buses and free parking. Beginning easiest to advanced double Black Diamond groomed ski and snowshoe trails are mapped and marked. Spectacular scenery of Buffalo Mountain and Continental Divide. Trails traverse Forest Service and Town of Frisco property. Under permit from the USDA, F.S. in the White River National Forest this Front Range and locals favorite get-away vacation has wooded winding trails and friendly service. Other noteworthy features include excellent grooming with Bombardier 400 snowcats, guaranteed lessons, and advanced clinics and timetrails.

Must Do: You must ski the Frisco Bay Trail and stop for a picnic or photo opportunity along the edge of Lake Dillon. If your up for a really big challenge you will surely appreciate the views from edge of the Jody's Nugget Trail

Terrain: 43Km of groomed skating and classic track skiing, 20Km of snowshoe trails separate from ski trails, 5Km of dog walking (on a leash) snowshoe trails, Plus 9 miles of bike path grooming along the Ten Mile Range (limited season for grooming)

Facility & Amenities: The Western Red Cedar log lodge is cozy with a large south facing sundeck. This is a full service lodge with ski and snowshoe rentals, retail shop, and waxing services. Plans for a new nordic village facility are in the works with lockers and sauna.

Services: We offer a professional ski school with guest instructors, clinics, and Ski Fest promotions. Try our "Learn to Ski Free" lesson program with a one day advanced reservation on weekdays only.  And we sell new and used ski equipment and offer an upgrade program for children and adults. We have a large fleet of lightweight children's pulk sleds and kicksleds. Our snowshoe program includes multiple manufacturers and purchase programs. Ask about our "Try Before You Buy" Demo program. 

Food Service: Our food service includes soups, breads, baked goods, smoothes, coffees, hot chocolate, energy bars and fresh juices.

Special Events: We host local community based races/events/ children's programs/men's and women's clinics/Governor's Cup and Frisco's Gold Rush races and events/PSIA instructor clinics/school winter activity programs/Super Ski Swap.

Directions: Located 1/4 mile South on Highway 9 from Main Street Frisco. Just 70 miles West on I-70 out of Denver. Only 16 miles from Vail take East I-70 to Frisco.
