Ute Meadows Nordic Center is located on the historic Darien Ranch near Marble, Colorado. Offering some of the most breath-taking scenery in Colorado, the valley is situated so that the abundant snowfall offers excellent ski conditions throughout the season. Located adjacent to Ute Meadows Inn Bed and Breakfast, spanning the Crystal River at an elevation or 7,750 ', the Nordic Center is open to the public seven days a week. Ute Meadows Nordic Barn also houses a sandwich shop. The Nordic Barn also boasts a complete rental shop with full services including waxing and tune-ups. Ute Meadows Inn Bed & Breakfast offers onsite lodging in elegant yet casual Western comfort. Our specialty is our canine friendly atmosphere at both Ute Meadows Nordic Center and Ute Meadows Inn is very special. Allowing dogs on the ski and snowshoe trails, as well as in the B&B, lets you enjoy your favorite sport with your favorite dog.
	Must Do: A Moonlight ski followed by the hot tub at Ute Meadows Inn will be remembered for years to come. Terrain: Groomed ski trails, both classic and skate, total 20 km. Snowshoers are welcome on skate lanes with an additional 6 km of dedicated snowshoe trails. Backcountry (ungroomed) terrain unlimited. Facility & Amenities: Ute Meadows Nordic Center features terrain for all levels of cross-country skiers. In addition to trails groomed for both classic and skate skiers, those preferring the adventure of a back-country experience will find fresh powder waiting for them as well. Also featuring trails reserved for snowshoeing, Ute Meadows Nordic Center is a complete winter playground. Dogs are welcome to accompany skiers and snowshoers for a minimal additional trail fee.
Services: SKI SHOP: Ute Meadows complete rental shop furnishes classic and skate skis as well as snowshoes. The ski shop also provides custom tuning and waxing. SKI SCHOOL: Our ski school instructors' experience totals over 25 years with experts in both classic and skate skiing on staff. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or expert skier, your skills will be enhance by our Ski School. TOURS: Snowshoe and Ski Tours for interests and abilities are provided at Ute Meadows Nordic Center. BACKCOUNTRY: The area is a Mecca for cross-country enthusiasts! Available guided or unguided, the ski terrain on the high country of our ranch is spectacular. Additional ungroomed skiing experiences are available on McClure Pass and in the Coal Basin area. Food Service: A Darien tradition, the deep pit barbequed beef and turkey sandwiches offered at our sandwich shop will keep you coming back for more.
Directions: Take Glenwood Springs Exit 116 from I-70 and follow Highway 82 South towards Aspen. At Carbondale (12 miles South of Glenwood) turn right onto Highway 133. Follow the Crystal River for 22 miles toward McClure Pass, passing Redstone. At the bottom of McClure Pass, look for a sign that reads "MARBLE 1000 FT." Turn left onto County Road 3 towards Marble. Ute Meadows Inn and Nordic Center is located 3 miles from the turn off on the right side of the road, just after you cross the Crystal River.
