A Haven for Outdoor Recreation

With more than 17 kilometers of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing and access to 40 kilometers of nearby backcountry trails throughout the White River National Forest, the Keystone Nordic Center is a haven for outdoor recreation. Choose from classic, skate skis, or snowshoes for your next adventure. New to Nordic sports? The Nordic Center offers lessons and guided snowshoe tours throughout the winter season.

Lessons

Reservations are required for lessons. Please call 970-496-4275 to book! All lessons and guided tours include rental equipment and daily trail fee.

Adult Beginner Group Lesson

$65

Leaving daily at 10:30 AM and 1 PM. Included rentals are good for the rest of the day.

1-Hour Private Classic or Skate Ski Lesson

One Person: $80 // Each Additional: $60

Private Family Lesson

First Person: $80 // Additional Adults: $60 // Children (ages 6-11): $35 // Teens (up to 15 years): $40

Participants must be at least 6 years old.

Nature Hike on Snowshoes

$60

Enjoy a 2-mile educational hike and getting a feel for the sport of snowshoeing. Offered each Wednesday and Friday at 11 AM. Participants must be at least 6 years old and able to cover 2 miles.

Mountain-Top Snowshoe Trek

$90

Take part in a more fitness-oriented hike from the top of Keystone mountain. Tour offered every Saturday and Thursday at 10:15 AM. Price includes rentals and gondola ride.

Rentals

Rentals include "The Works" — skis, boots, and poles. Rentals are included with lessons and guided tours.

Senior, Military, and Group Discounts Available

Keystone Nordic Center offers discounted rates for seniors (ages 65+), active and retired military members, and groups of 9 or more. Contact us at 970-496-4275 for full details.

Facilities & Amenities

The Keystone Nordic Center is located on the West end of Keystone Resort and is open daily from 9am - 4pm. Our clubhouse features a full-service Nordic shop with equipment rental & repair, apparel & accessories, restrooms, a restaurant, outdoor patio seating, and plenty of free parking up front.

Family Tubing Hill

Our Family Tubing Hill is fun for everyone, but especially great for toddlers and young children who are under the 42" height requirement for tubing at Adventure Point on Dercum Mountain. Walk up and slide down the old-fashioned way. Open daily from 10 AM to 3 PM. Reservation and tube rental required — $22/hour for each tube.
